The Olympic Games kicked off on Friday and the U.S. team paraded in a stylish march unveiling their Polo Ralph Lauren 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Parade Outfits.

American athletes marched during the commencement celebration in Opening Ceremony uniforms evoking the heritage and legacy of the 1920’s and 1930’s. A polished and tailored silhouette made of crisp white shirts and ivory cuffed pants with a classic navy blue blazer. The outfits were classic Americana by the classic American designer.

The chic outfits are accented by Americana-infused accessories with red, white and blue silk ties and scarves and classic canvas sneakers with red and blue stripes, topped off with a white twill hat.

Polo Ralph Lauren has also designed the Closing Ceremony Parade Outfits, as well as a collection of village wear pieces available now in stores and on www.ralphlauren.com.

The 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games will be celebrated from August 8-24, with an estimated four billion viewers watching global-televised coverage, which is expected to be the largest audience ever to view the Olympic Games.
