J. Lindeberg AB Making Moves
Published July 15, 2007 by admin

J. Lindeberg AB has landed in the hands of Proventus, a private equity firm in Sweden, and Swedish financier Stefan Engstrom, according to DNRnews.com.
Engstrom will be replacing Arnt Jakobsen as CEO.
Lindeberg himself appears pleased with the deal as he:
“was determined not to suffer the same fate as Helmut Lang and Roland Mouret—designers who lost the right to market under their own names—and actively recruited the new investors to take over J. Lindeberg on terms more favorable to him.”
The brand was previously owned by independent investors and groups who Lindeberg clashed with over direction of the brand.
Lindebergs new role will allow to focus on the creative aspects of the business.
